Andy is a former Detective Superintendent Director of Intelligence with 30 years’ experience in Law Enforcement.

An accomplished detective, leading specialist crime investigation operations; an accredited Serious and Organised Crime Senior Investigating Officer (SIO), Kidnap and Extortion SIO and Surveillance Commander. Specialising in Intelligence development in both overt and covert arenas with extensive experience in crisis and risk management. Involved in numerous Crime in Action Investigations, including the blackmailing of high-net-worth individuals.

Andy has exceptional communication skills with 23 years’ experience as a Crisis, Kidnap and Extortion, Counter Terrorist and Strategic Command Negotiator Advisor. Andy has delivered training and assessed on national negotiator courses and overseas on behalf of the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office.

Andy was the strategic lead for Covert Surveillance and Hostage and Crisis Negotiation for the South-West Region representing the region at the national level.

Leading strategic change, evolving business and delivering tactical outcomes has been the constant throughout his career. Andy has been responsible for significant change programmes to improve service delivery, improve performance and capability at local, regional, and national levels.
